Real customer reviews of a well-known "what is my IP" site describe far too many ads, especially pop-ups — with some reviewers saying they'd pay a small fee just to make them stop, and others specifically flagging offensive dating-site ads. That's a lot of friction for a page that exists to show one string of numbers.
