Large CSV Splitter
Split a large CSV into smaller files by row count — Excel caps out at 1,048,576 rows and crashes on anything bigger, and every chunk here keeps the header row (a common thing splitters forget).
How it works
- Upload a CSV file
- Set how many data rows each chunk should contain
- Download each chunk — the header row is copied into every one automatically
Frequently asked questions
Why would I need to split a CSV file?
Excel has a hard limit of 1,048,576 rows — anything larger won't open, or crashes and loses data. Splitting into smaller files that each fit under that limit lets you open every part normally.
Do all the split files keep the column headers?
Yes — the header row is copied into every chunk automatically, so opening any individual file still shows correct column names (a common gap in simpler splitters, which only keep the header in the first chunk).
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No — the file is read and split entirely in your browser.
