Data as of 2026-10-03. States with a confirmed 2027 rate are already law; states marked "pending" adjust for inflation every year and typically announce the exact number in fall 2026 — this page will need a manual update once each is announced.

2026 rate $0.00/hr
2027 rate $0.00/hr
2026 annual pay at this rate, full-time $0
2027 annual pay, full-time $0
Annual increase $0

This covers a representative selection of states — not all 50 — chosen because their 2027 status (confirmed vs. still pending) could be verified directly against an official state announcement or press release. Check your state labor department for the authoritative figure for any state not listed here.

How it works

  1. Pick a state (or the flat federal rate) and your full-time hours per week
  2. See the 2026 rate and, where officially confirmed, the 2027 rate
  3. See the annual full-time pay difference between 2026 and 2027 — or a clear "pending" label if that state's 2027 rate isn't announced yet

Frequently asked questions

Why does this only cover a few states instead of all 50?

Different aggregator sites disagreed with each other on several states' figures during our research — in two cases, a site's "2027 rate" turned out to actually be the 2026 rate. Rather than risk publishing an unverified number, this calculator includes only states whose 2026 and 2027 status could be directly confirmed against an official state announcement or press release.

What does "pending" mean for a state's 2027 rate?

Many states index their minimum wage to inflation (typically CPI-W) and announce the exact next-year rate every fall — often between September and November. If a state shows "pending," that state hasn't made its official 2027 announcement as of this page's last data update.

Has the federal minimum wage changed?

No — the federal minimum wage has been $7.25/hour since 2009, with no scheduled change for 2027. Most states with their own (higher) minimum wage use that state rate instead of the federal one.

Will this page be updated once pending states announce their 2027 rate?

Yes — this requires a manual update (not an automatic feed) once each state's labor department makes its official announcement, tracked in this cube's changelog.
