Rotate PDF pages online without uploading the file

Scan a stack of paper through a sheet-fed scanner and it is common for one or two pages to come out sideways while the rest are upright — the feeder just didn't grab them the same way. Fixing that with the popular free PDF sites means uploading the file to their server, and on Smallpdf's free tier that upload counts toward a strict two-tasks-per-day cap, so a second sideways page discovered later can mean waiting until tomorrow. iLovePDF's rotate tool works around a 25-file, 100 MB free-tier ceiling and, per its own privacy policy, keeps your file on its servers for up to two hours before deleting it. Adobe's free web rotator, per third-party comparisons, applies the same rotation to the whole document rather than letting you pick pages individually — no help for a scan with mixed orientations.

Rotate a single page in a PDF without touching the rest

Drop a file in and every page shows as a numbered tile. Click the tiles that are actually sideways — one, several, or all of them — then use "Rotate left 90°", "Rotate right 90°" or "Rotate 180°". Only the pages you selected change; everything else in the document stays exactly as it was. This is the case the whole-document rotators in Smallpdf and iLovePDF's basic flow don't handle well: a 40-page scan where only pages 12 and 31 are sideways.

Rotate PDF online free, with no watermark or daily limit

The rotation happens with a PDF library loaded on the page itself, so the file is never sent to a server — useful on its own if the document is a signed contract or an ID scan. There's no daily task counter, no watermark added to the output and no account required, so you can rotate as many files, or come back to fix one more page, as often as you need.

Does rotating a PDF page change its content or quality?

No. Rotating only changes the page's rotation flag, the same mechanism a photo's orientation tag uses — the underlying text, images and links are untouched, so nothing is re-rendered or recompressed. A page rotated 90° twice in this tool lands back at 180° total, not undone, since each click adds to the current angle; use "Rotate left 90°" to back out of an accidental turn.

Permanently rotate PDF pages before printing or archiving

Viewers like a browser's built-in PDF reader can sometimes auto-correct an odd orientation on screen but print it sideways anyway, because the rotation flag itself was never actually changed. Writing the corrected rotation into the file with a tool like this one fixes that for every viewer and printer downstream, not just the one you happened to preview it in.
