Image Resizer
Enlarging past the original size will lose some sharpness — there's no extra detail to invent.
Resize an image to exact pixels or a percentage — aspect ratio is locked by default so you can't accidentally stretch a circle into an oval, unlike tools where that protection is an easy-to-miss opt-in toggle.
How it works
- Upload an image
- Enter a target width or height in pixels (or a percentage) — aspect ratio locks the other dimension automatically
- Download the resized PNG or JPG
Frequently asked questions
Why is aspect ratio locked by default?
Many resizers make you remember to enable a "lock aspect ratio" option — forget it and circles become ovals, faces stretch. This tool locks it by default; uncheck it only if you deliberately want a different ratio.
Will resizing up (enlarging) lose quality?
Yes — enlarging past the original pixel dimensions always loses some sharpness, since there's no extra detail to invent. Downsizing preserves quality far better.
Does my photo get uploaded to a server?
No — resizing happens entirely in your browser using the Canvas API.
