Photo Censor / Face Pixelator
🔒 Runs entirely in your browser — your photo is never uploaded or stored anywhere.
Face detection runs on-device using an open-license face-landmark model (Google MediaPipe, Apache-2.0) — it can miss profile angles, sunglasses, or small/partial faces, so always check the result and use the manual box for anything it misses.
Automatically detect and pixelate or blur every face in a photo, entirely in your browser — no upload, no watermark, no signup. Missed a face? Drag to add a manual censor box.
How it works
- Upload a photo or take a selfie with your camera
- An on-device face-detection model (Google MediaPipe) finds every face and pixelates or blurs it automatically
- Missed a face, or want to cover something else? Drag directly on the photo to add your own censor box, or click a box to remove it
- Download the censored photo as a PNG
Frequently asked questions
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Face detection and pixelation both run entirely inside your browser using an on-device model — your photo is never sent to a server, uploaded, or stored anywhere. Refreshing the page clears everything.
What if it doesn't find a face?
No automatic face detector catches every face — profile angles, sunglasses, and small or partially hidden faces can be missed. When that happens, just drag directly on the photo to draw your own censor box over anything you want hidden.
Pixelate or blur — which is safer?
Strong pixelation is generally the safer default — light blur can sometimes be partially reversed by AI upscaling/restoration tools, while a coarse enough mosaic destroys the underlying detail. This tool defaults to a strong pixelation level for that reason, but you can adjust the strength or switch to blur.
Does it work on group photos with multiple people?
Yes — every detected face gets its own censor box, and you can add more manually for anyone the detector misses.
Is it free, and are there watermarks?
Completely free, no signup, and no watermark is added to your downloaded photo.
