Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The watermark is drawn onto the pages in your browser with a PDF library loaded on the page, so the file never leaves your device — important if the document is confidential to begin with.
Will your own logo or branding be added to my file?
No. Only the exact text you type is added — nothing else.
What's the difference between the two layouts?
Single, centered places one instance of the text in the middle of each page. Tiled diagonal repeats it in a grid across the whole page, which is harder to crop out of a photocopy or screenshot.
Can I control how visible the watermark is?
Yes — the opacity slider goes from 10% (subtle) to 80% (bold), and size and rotation angle are adjustable too.
Is there a limit on how many times I can use this?
No daily limit and no account required.
Why can't I watermark a password-protected PDF?
Encrypted files cannot be read without the password. Remove the password in the app that created it, then add the file again.
