Wedding Seating Chart Template
Used to spot guests you have not seated yet and to fill tables automatically. Each guest counts as one seat, so list a plus-one on their own line.
Tables
Plan your reception seating without an account: paste your guest list, add tables with a seat count, and assign guests to each table. The tool warns when a table is over capacity, when a guest is seated twice, and lists everyone not yet seated. Print or save a chart of tables plus an alphabetical "find your table" list as a PDF. Nothing is uploaded.
How it works
- Paste your guests one per line, then add tables and set how many seats each has
- Type or paste names into each table, or click "Fill open seats" to seat unassigned guests automatically in order
- Fix any over-capacity, duplicate or unseated warnings, then click "Print / Save as PDF" — the second page is an alphabetical find-your-table list
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account or is there a guest limit?
No account and no guest limit from us. It runs in your browser, and there are no paid tiers to unlock printing.
What do the warnings mean?
A table turns red when it holds more guests than seats. A guest listed at two tables is flagged, and anyone on your guest list who has not been given a seat is listed as not seated yet.
How does automatic filling work?
It takes guests who are on your list but not yet seated and places them at tables that still have open seats, in table order. It never moves guests you already placed, and you can edit the result freely.
Can I print a list guests can search?
Yes. The printout ends with an alphabetical find-your-table list, sorted by the name as you typed it. Write names surname-first if you want the list sorted by surname.
How do I seat couples and plus-ones?
Each line is one seat. Put a partner or plus-one on their own line and keep the lines together in the same table.
Is the seating plan saved?
No. It only exists in your browser tab, so save the PDF or copy the seating list before you close the page.
