How it works

Frequently asked questions
Is this my official Handicap Index?
No — this is an unofficial estimate for personal tracking. An official USGA/R&A Handicap Index has to be issued through a licensed golf club or association, which can also apply course-specific adjustments this tool doesn't have access to.
What's a Score Differential?
It's (Adjusted Gross Score − Course Rating) × 113 ÷ Slope Rating — a way of normalizing a score for how hard the specific course and tees played, so rounds on different courses can be compared fairly.
