Search "body type calculator" and most results are self-reported quizzes asking you to pick which body shape looks most like yours. That's a survey, not a calculation.

Body frame size calculator, an actual measurable ratio

The height-to-wrist-circumference ratio — sometimes called the Wilson frame size method — uses two real measurements instead of a subjective guess. For a 180 cm man with a 17 cm wrist, the ratio is 10.59, which classifies as a small frame under the standard thresholds.

Am I small medium or large frame, the actual thresholds

For men, a ratio above 10.4 is small frame, 9.6-10.4 is medium, and below 9.6 is large. For women, the cutoffs shift slightly (11.0 and 10.1) to reflect typical anatomical differences.

Bone structure calculator, why frame size matters

Frame size is sometimes used alongside height and weight to interpret "ideal weight" ranges more sensibly — a larger-framed person can reasonably carry more weight at the same height than a smaller-framed person, which a pure height/weight chart doesn't capture on its own.
