Body frame size
Height-to-wrist ratio 0

This uses the height-to-wrist-circumference ratio method (sometimes called the Wilson frame size method), a measurable way to classify bone structure — small, medium, or large frame. "Body type" quizzes based on self-reported body shape (ectomorph/mesomorph/endomorph) aren't based on a validated formula, which is why this tool uses an actual measurement instead.

Free body frame size calculator using an actual measurement (height-to-wrist ratio) instead of a self-reported body type quiz — small, medium, or large frame, based on bone structure.

Frequently asked questions

Why not use ectomorph/mesomorph/endomorph categories?

Those 'somatotype' categories aren't based on a validated measurement formula — most online versions are self-reported quizzes, not calculators. This tool uses an actual measurable ratio (height to wrist circumference) instead.

What is frame size used for?

It's sometimes used alongside height and weight to interpret 'ideal weight' ranges — a larger frame can reasonably carry more weight at the same height than a smaller frame, which pure height/weight charts don't capture.
