We checked calculator.net's 'Compound Interest Calculator' directly — it only converts between compounding rates, and its own page tells you to use a separate 'Interest Calculator' for actual growth calculations. That split is confusing for one concept (money growing over time), so this tool does the whole thing in one place.
When do contributions start earning interest?
Contributions are added at the start of each month, so they earn interest that same month (an "annuity due" convention) — a small but real difference from calculators that assume deposits happen at month-end.
Can I download the year-by-year numbers?
Yes — expand the schedule and click 'Download CSV'.
