Frequently asked questions

Does this calculate my take-home pay after taxes?

No — this is a pure pay-frequency converter, not a tax calculator. It shows how a given rate translates across hourly, weekly, monthly, and other periods. For take-home pay after federal tax and FICA, use the Take-Home-Paycheck Calculator instead.

Why does unpaid weeks off matter?

If you don't work (and aren't paid for) some weeks of the year — common for some hourly, seasonal, or contract roles — your effective hourly rate from an annual figure is different than a straight 52-week division. This lets you account for that.
