Search a product name and instantly see FDA food, drug, and device recalls together — with full Class I/II/III/Not Yet Classified labeling, not a 3-category guess. Covers US FDA data only.

How it works

  1. Type a product name — food, medication, or medical device
  2. Food, drug, and device recall databases are searched at the same time and merged by date
  3. Each result shows the severity class, reason, recalling firm, and a link to check the official FDA status

Frequently asked questions

What data does this search?

The FDA's public openFDA enforcement database, covering food, drug, and medical device recalls in the United States.

Is this data always up to date?

No — FDA's own documentation states this data isn't meant to track a recall's current status in real time. Always check the official FDA link on each result for the latest status.

What does "Not Yet Classified" mean?

FDA hasn't assigned a severity class (I, II, or III) to that recall yet — this is different from Class III (least severe), not the same thing.

Does this cover recalls outside the US?

No — this tool only searches FDA (United States) data. Other countries have separate recall databases not covered here.
