Frequently asked questions
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Face detection runs entirely inside your browser using an on-device model — your photo is never sent to a server, uploaded, or stored anywhere. Refreshing the page clears everything.
Is this facial recognition?
No. This detects the structural shape of a face (landmark points like the jawline, eyes, and mouth) to estimate proportions — it doesn't identify who you are or compare you against any database of people.
Why isn't there a 'beauty score'?
Attractiveness scoring isn't a real, standardized measurement — sites that offer one are presenting an arbitrary number as if it were scientific. We show structural, explainable proportions instead (face shape, eye spacing, etc.), not a ranking.
How accurate is the face shape estimate?
It's a proportion-based estimate using forehead/cheekbone/jaw width ratios — a common approach in styling guides, not a medical or scientific classification. Lighting, head angle, and hair covering your hairline or jaw can all affect the result.
