Free auto lease calculator that converts your APR to a money factor automatically and breaks out the depreciation fee and finance fee separately — we checked calculator.net's lease calculator directly: it explains the APR-to-money-factor formula in text but has no actual conversion input, and only shows aggregate totals, not the fee breakdown.

How it works

  1. Enter the negotiated price (cap cost), residual value, term, and your APR
  2. The APR converts to a money factor automatically (APR ÷ 2400)
  3. See the depreciation fee and finance fee broken out separately, plus tax and the total monthly payment

Frequently asked questions

What's a money factor, and why do I enter APR instead?

Money factor is how lease finance charges are usually quoted, but it's an unfamiliar small decimal (like 0.00125) most people can't sanity-check. This tool lets you enter the more familiar APR and converts it automatically using the standard formula (APR ÷ 2400) — we checked a popular competitor and it only explains this conversion in text, with no actual input for it.

Why are depreciation fee and finance fee shown separately?

They're the two components of every lease payment — depreciation fee covers the value the car loses over the lease, finance fee is the interest-like charge on the capital. A competitor we checked only shows an aggregate monthly payment and total interest, not this breakdown.
